A Day in My Life

Welcome to a day in my very chaotic life! Besides going to school, I am heavily involved in Greek Life here (I do FSL Ambassadors, I am on the Panhellenic Executvie Council for 2024, Recruitment Director for my chapter, and are on the 'standard's committee for my chapter). In addition, I love to lift through the Athenas Lifting Club so I frequent the gym a lot. Whew! So please enjoy seeing a day in my life! :)
What did the process look like?
Remembering to take pictures is a lot harder than it looks! The process took about 24-36 hours for me complete the challenge. I am a busy person which gave me plenty of opportunities to take pictures. However, my busy schedule also got me distracted so I had to keep remembering to take a photo for the project. My phone isn't the best at capturing photos, as I do believe I broke one of the lenses, so I did a bit of editing with them to avoid glares and the strong light reflections. I did not want to include myself or others in the picture but wanted to give you, my readers, a chance to view a day in my life from my exact viewpoint. No posing, no good lighting, no bullsh*t really. Just me and my camera.
What did I learn?
Although I am on my phone quite a bit, I never really take a lot of pictures. I'm not one of those people who takes out their phone at every event to take pictures with friends, family, or of the scenery. Instead, I love to live 'in the moment'! This project challenge me in a sense to become more creative with my camera and to take pictures of what I do in a day. I believe I learned that taking photos doesn't necessarily take away from the moment but allows you to re-live that moment in the future. As I examined each of my photos, I got nostalgic and started to remember the exact feelings of a particular moment.
Off to School!

There is nothing better than seeing this view when I leave for school. It's super nice to wake up and get to class at 11am. Why? Because I can sit for a minute in my car and look at this beautiful view.
I <3 The Pit

You've heard it here first guys! The Pit is worth going to. Yes, you may not want to but I swear by the Pit now. Nothing goes along better than a Pit Sit lunch.
I Don't Like Stats

Guys, for real though....I hate a love/hate relationship with this course. Why does my TA hate me in this course lol?
Recruitment 4 Life

My sorority's longue is one of my favorite places to go and study. Except, I had to clean the longue and get it ready for a recruitment event. Yay!
Tip #5 - Finish strong

Whenever I have rough days, this makes me feel SO much better! Seriously, go and get the Pita Chips. They will change your life.
Tip #6 - Finish strong

It might seem a bit silly, but I love this sign. Why? Because when it's on, I'm about to go to sleep which is what I look forward to after a busy day.
Andrea, you certainly have a packed schedule. I admire all you can get done in one day. I think that this challenge would certainly help slow down the day. I think being able to really think about all you do helps break the day up and allows for reflection. Life can be so fast paced and hectic in college that it is easy to get lost. I think you did a great job on this post! - George
Andrea-
I enjoyed this overlook of your day! As you pointed out, life can get so busy, but I think this project does a great job at slowing us down and allowing us to capture these fleeting moments. I also find that there is not many times in the day that I capture what is in front o me via photo because I am trying to become more detached from my phone. This challenge made me think deeply about how to balance taking those pictures and living in the moment. Great Job!
